I am a Red Seal Plumber and Gas Fitter with the United Association. I started my career by working four years in the piping trades with a non-union shop before I joined the UA. In that time I began to understand the barriers that non-union workers face including lower wages, no pension or benefits, a lack of safety training, and no one to advocate on their behalf in an industry lacking any real oversight over delinquent employers.

With the United Association I was given the opportunity to pursue hundreds of hours of training, to take part in interesting projects ranging from healthcare to steel production, and to receive an industry leading compensation package.

As an Organizer with the Ontario Pipe Trades Council my goal is to extend a hand down to my non-union brothers and sisters in the piping industry and to pull them up behind me. To advocate for workers, and to stand shoulder to shoulder with them in their fight for higher wages, access to training, and increased safety standards in the workplace.
